GAB.AI is offline

  • Judging a group by a subset of their membership is a bad idea. We "got it" with racism and sexism and stereotyping... but it appears we still haven't quite "got it".

If some posts on gab are direct incitement of violence, they should (and as I have heard, do) get removed. Trashing the entire service is IMHO something else entirely.

If a legal activity (gab acts entirely above board) simply cannot operate, not for lack of customers or other business operations but because they are blackballed, then something is rotten in the state of Denmark. I don't know what the right solution is.

  • It seems like the common thread of gab members is slime, but regardless I am rather disturbed at them being kicked offline by their domain registrar which seems a bit removed from the content business.

It is however hilarious that the dns registrar in question is those mega scumbags godaddy!

  • It's fun watching everyone learn the other freedom in the 1st amendment is the freedom of association. (Even though that doesn't matter for the non-governmental entities here.)

    Also, good riddance

  • buh bye and good riddance

  • It’s a double plus good day for humanity!
