To me, this is the only reasonable response to what is quite simply nonsense in my opinion. These are technical comments, avoiding cursing in new code is one thing, but going back and changing comments in a way that reduces understandability in comments, which are already prone to be outdated and somewhat confusing at times, is simply not a good idea.
