There was a juvenile involved (17 year old) who apparently did some of the worst of the crimes. He is now roaming free after 3 years in a rehab facility (not prison) - with identity masked.

The main culprit mohammed afroze was technically a 'juvenile' (some two months away from turning 18) so he was let off with just 6 months juvenile prison sentence. so from 2013 he is free. This led to a public outrage and laws were amended to consider 16 as the age cutoff for henious crimes to classify as a 'juvenile'. but they are not applied retrospectively.
Good.
While it's great news that India's justice system has delivered swift and appropriate justice in this case, I fail to see how this belongs on HN...
