I've traveled around the world (while consulting and needing Internet access every day) and the maximum speed just isn't that good of a baseline.
In Hong Kong, for instance, it was tough to find reliable Internet, let alone at those speeds.
In the US, there is reliable Internet pretty much everywhere and I definitely felt the difference when I came back home.
I feel like these lists are created to shit on the US and to point out that it's 'not that great' than anything else.
