  • Odds are at some point you have spent a week nailing down a small detail in a code base because that's just part of the work. Better design involves similar grinds. There's no shortcut. Either a person is willing to do that sort of work for years to become competent, or they aren't.

    It's not there aren't resources to pluck the lowest hanging fruit. A person can just copy better designs by others. The separation is years of practice and intellectual interest. Good luck.
