Legitimate research and information is stifled by MSM, Twitter, etc.
Billions of comments deleted from youtube, accounts struck off or suspended - how can we even observe the scale of the problem when things just quietly disappear?
We live in book burning times, only there's no smoke or fires to be seen.
Careful. The paper [1] has a single author with the claimed affiliation "Cardiology Division, Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System/Stanford University", and it has been "published" in a controversial journal called "Medical Hypotheses" that explicitly does NOT perform peer review. The claim that it has been "published at NIH.gov" is also close to a lie, since it is simply available through PubMed. This is almost like claiming something has been "published by Google" when it can be found via its search engine.
Quote Wikipedia (the article about this "journal" is worth reading in full):
"Medical Hypotheses is a not-conventionally-peer reviewed medical journal published by Elsevier. It was originally intended as a forum for unconventional ideas without the traditional filter of scientific peer review, "as long as (the ideas) are coherent and clearly expressed" in order to "foster the diversity and debate upon which the scientific process thrives." The publication of papers on AIDS denialism led to calls to remove it from PubMed, the United States National Library of Medicine online journal database. Following the AIDS papers controversy, Elsevier forced a change in the journal's leadership. In June 2010, Elsevier announced that "Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by the Editor and external reviewers to ensure their scientific merit".
