1. Anyone named Peter instantly has a problem. (Ask me, I'm named after St. Peter, among other peoples/places.) Especially if talking about the Bible, none of which I personally hold to be absolutely true. But St. Peter fucked up at least three times, according to scripture. And maybe that wasn't the end of it.
2. Anyone named Thiel should be wary of the absolute load of crap this man had dumped on the family name. Jest sayin'.. The fact that he donated millions to Drumpf is enough for me. But, that may be my problem..
3. Maybe we just want to be in control of our own futures. And not in the control of some >>dude<<.
Peter Thiel is a bit of an anomaly in Silicon Valley.
Not fan of his but appreciate his views, offering a different perspective on the tunnel vision and bias in tech, which is greatly liberal and anti-Christian, as noted in HN.
He approaches theology from an intellectual rather than a religious view, which avoids heated debates often produced by blind belief systems.
