I hate the green background because it's hard to see grey text on a lime green background. Why do designers keep doing this stuff? I see light grey text on white backgrounds all the time, as if it's sophisticated or something. Text you can't read isn't sophisticated!
What a load of garbage. There is a legitimate security reason to differentiate between standard SMS messages and iMessages. I for one like knowing whether the person Im texting is using Android(meaning all my texts are intercepted by the carrier and/or police), or if theyre using an iPhone(meaning all my texts are securely encrypted).
Google seems to place a greater importance on teenager's feelings than communication security.
