    Rather bold of you to claim. Certainly subliminal product placement, aka the "submarine article,"[0] is not why I visit Hacker News. Many people write and post here to satisfy their own intellectual curiosity, and not to stake a market claim at all.

    While I appreciate that you (plural) are some kind of marketing department, and cannot (collectively) perceive phenomena which aren't involved in brand warfare, it's still very eerie to hear myself (as a self-entitled denizen of this forum) described as a deliberate target of your branding, especially in the first-person plural.
