Intelligence is in the network

  • Intelligence is the mitigation of uncertainty. If it does not mitigate uncertainty, it is not intelligence.

The article does have a point that mostly humans aren’t as credible as they self conceive, though this is not wholly true.

The intellectual “bellwether” is apparent. The polymath, the uninhibited intellect does exist wether it is self aware or not. This kind of break away thinker should not be ignored or condescended, yet it is the dissemination of intelligence through the group which creates the bar for contemporary convention.

  • Pretty muddled argument. A single person is useless, just like a monkey? An isolated person couldn't make civilization (tautology). "I had a problem I couldn't solve alone, thus all singleton effort is waste."
