AI-generated art won a fine arts competition – and artists are up in arms

  • As a digital artist, all I have say to those bitching and moaning is lol. This reality has always been on the plate/inevitable. They're looking at creation as a technical skill rather than conceptual. Concept and execution to express/communicate concepts in physical form is what matters.

These folks seem to be thinking/reacting from the perspective/insecurities around markets/threat to monetary income, which is valid, but doesn't hold much weight (as of now at least...could careless either way tbh) in the debate of what's art.

This debate is beating a dead horse and has been around forever.

"This is not a pipe" (Magritte)

    "Fountain" (Duchamp)
