Twitter has long been unusable for me. It definitely manipulates information in a negative way. I’ve had accounts in the past just to follow artists and watched as certain people vanished from my timeline. Is this malicious? Is it just bad content management? Who knows. It’s a shame because the core infrastructure is great.
when elon said he would buy twitter. I tested this. I never ever commented. I connected to the people I want to connect to but obviously not of the allowed political persuasion. I did like things but never a retweet.
One day I posted a simple like 'congratulations' or something to a chess player. You couldn't see my reply. I got shadow banned and you couldn't see what I would say.
I'll never ever go back to twitter. If they shadow ban people because of literal things they say, perhaps someone calls for genocide. Then fine. But shadow banning because you are following the wrong people... what a joke.
FUD. The author has done nothing to prove they are being “suppressed”. You can’t tweet the same thing on two different accounts and claim one is being nefariously suppressed because it has fewer impressions.
There are a billion more reasonable causes than implying some kind of shadow government/thought policing/etc.
