The first flying bike can stay in the air for 40 minutes

  • What does "first" means? Compare "The Scorpion-3 Is the World's First Manned Hoverbike" at https://www.popularmechanics.com/flight/drones/a25308/scorpi... .

Wikipedia says "It is famously used by the Dubai Police Force."

FWIW, the Gossamer Albatross is a flying bike which managed to stay aloft for nearly 3 hours, back in 1979. Human-powered, no less.

  • They are really stretching definitions, aren't they? It is quite ambiguous to refer to a "bike" when you don't mean "bicycle" (which, by definition, is a human-powered device with pedals and two wheels.)

It seems that this article intends to refer to a "motorbike" (which, by typical definition, is a device with two wheels powered by a small engine, typically internal-combustion) but the "motorbike" in question here is actually more of a large drone, with no wheels but enough space to carry one human aboard it.

  • Just great. Waverunners flying over my house all day.

  • How is this the first, I’ve atleast seen 5 others over the last few years.

  • How long before we'll make like E.T in that famous scene?
