Big fan of Pixelmator Pro! I started using it about 2 years ago, had to un-learn some things from Photoshop (like smart filters, smart objects), but it's an extremely powerful, Mac OS native image editor. And way faster than Photoshop on Mac OS. I use it for composite imagery and general photo editing mostly.
If you never tried Pixelmator Pro, I encourage you to do so. I use it for illustration, and it works really well.
