Is ChatGPT killing StackOverflow? An analysis of four months of data

  • I still use StackOverflow for simple queries about syntax, etc, but for questions where I don't really know what I'm looking for ChatGPT is great.

    The strength of ChatGPT is that you can describe your problem in some detail then ask for recommendations to your specific problem. Then you can refine the solution offered with follow up questions which can be useful if you want to use a specific library, etc.

  • Betteridge's law of headlines comes to mind. So I'm included to answer no.
