Whatever your opinion on these particular substances, I think it's becoming a popular opinion that people who use them shouldn't be going to jail. I'm hoping the CA police unions don't interfere with this bill too much like they have in the past (sb-519 last year). Would be nice if the people enforcing the law didn't have so much lobbying influence.

Today it passed 21-16, but with more 'noes' than any other bill on the daily file.
