I have an M1 Macbook Air, I've never felt like it's not fast enough for the things I do on this computer, light programming tasks, media consumption, web browsing.
Though, apparently, you might play some games in the M3 macbook pro which is something I can't do on mine. That might be interesting enough. And battery life might be better too.
