Ha! I got excited one of my most beloved local search tools got updated: https://www.voidtools.com/
It's funny to think that early on (20-25 years ago) it rivalled Wikipedia in popularity, but very quickly fell behind. Its real strength was the community though. There were lots of meetups around the world. I made so many friends there when I was on the site 20 years ago or so, many on whom I'm still good friends with today.

I had forgotten about it completely and didn't realize it still existed. Wonder how it compares to Metafilter and reddit these days.
I don’t understand the suggested post, but I liked the authenticity within this website. I loved the content.
