    Why now?

    Kroger announced the intent of this acquisition literally 1.5-years ago (Oct 2022).

    Why is it only now the FTC is suing?

    Note: Iā€™m not taking a stance on for or against the acquisition. It just seems odd the FTC waited so long to sue over this.
