I am a bit surprised that the DOJ is going after them but it seems like a necessary continuation of the changes that came about as a result of the EU action in this regard. I generally believe free markets are usually a positive thing but in Apple's case, much akin to Standard Oil, I think there becomes a point where the government has to take action to protect consumers, as we're seeing here. I'll be interested to see whether or not this actually ends up forcing any change stateside or if it's another pointless and toothless act of grandstanding for political purposes.
