Texas builds clean power – but it isn't a climate champion

  • He donates to starving children, but he doesn't talk about it loudly often enough.

Texas is an energy producing state. They really care about energy. They're not so focused on it being green for the sake of it being green, they like it because it's cost effective energy. I think this fact rubs the author the wrong way, because he wants green energy for the sake of green, not for the sake of energy.

Since he likes to use the terms "left" and "right", I'd love to see him do his graphs such as percentage of total production, total from the month green energy production reached 1% and all that stuff, with countries like Cuba, Venezuela, even China. I hear China is a big green energy producer now, I wonder how it fares on these metrics against Texas, the right wing of all the right wing states.

  • Basically they're saying that while Texas is building a lot of renewable energy, the demand is so high and growing that emissions are actually increasing and fossil fuel usage isn't decreasing? (And everything has to be compared to California for some reason.) Because that's my takeaway though it took a heck of a lot of words to say that apparently

  • Rebrand batteries as after-storm-infrastrucure-buffer

  • >complains about polarized politics

    >writes article whose content is obsessed with left vs. right
