Why don't you just open source Tumblr? Like why go through the rigamorole of integrating Tumblr into Wordpress when Tumblr was actually a really great tool to post content back in the day? Just open source Tumblr and have the public decide the direction. Maybe it will pick up on adoption again!
Don't get me wrong. I have a special place for both Tumblr and Wordpress in my heart. But jamming one inside the other just feels.. wrong and misguided.
