Pretty please don't shoot them down" and the US gov is not gaslighting when they say "No idea /shrug" and there is not a proper FAA RemoteID or ADS-B broadcast on 8 foot long drones confirmed by multiple law enforcement agencies thus far then it's safe to say they are controlled by a foreign nation and may be disassembled in air and then the parts analyzed. The ship they have been tracked from may also be seized.
As for aliens, they are not. These are up-scaled Chinese drone design. Same lights, exterior color, similar shapes.
