Decades ago i would have said someone is trying to sabotage Microsoft

But nowadays, with experience (this is not the first time that this is happening), it seems like it's the opposite, Microsoft is constantly trying to sabotage its "clients", i'm using quotes here because what are the alternatives they are allowed to use?
