Being in academia, you realize how much of an echo chamber it is. Fears keep looping back through each other in those circles.

Not to mention, the article doesn’t mention how many of these scientists are foreign origin— that’s a pretty glaring omission in an academia where more and more scientists are here for a visa.

Really hope Europe etc. sees the opportunity for a massive win here and invests in bringing these people over
